Abstract
We employ the independent-event model to study thetransfer-ionization (TI) process in H+, He2+ + Hecollisions. We consider both the ionization-capture andcapture-ionization paths. The single-particle probabilities forall channels are calculated with thecontinuum distorted wave eikonal initial state model. With theprobabilities for TI we calculatedoubly differential and total cross sections which are comparedwith the available experimental data. Our present results are inbetter agreement with the experiments than present calculationsusing the independent-electron model and previous calculationsusing the independent-event model, but with single-particleprobabilities calculated with the continuum distorted-wavemodel.
