Abstract

ABSTRACTDespite the fact that the number of online services for entertainment, such as online games, online karaoke singing, etc., has increased, clarification of the impact of social escapism, reflecting users’ social compensation needs, in acceptance of online entertainment services is still lacking. Data from 217 online karaoke television users were gathered and analyzed using structure equation modeling. The empirical results showed that perceived enjoyment helped users’ social escapism and provided a psychological basis.
