Abstract

Summary The analogy between Lecher lines and wave guides first suggested by Schelkunoff (1937) and later developed by Flint and Pincherle (1943) has been used to derive a wave-guide method for the measurement of the properties of dielectrics at very high frequencies. The experimental results support the theoretical conclusions obtained using the analogy.
