Abstract

The essay compares U.S. and German constitutional concepts of the State, the Market, and Constitution, with some references to Citizen's united as a foil to bring out the conceptual differences. The essay includes precise equivalent terms in English and German inline as well as in parallel text format so that the work can serve as a good base for legal comparison, legal harmonization, and language acquisition. 16 pages, 104 footnotes.
