Abstract
(Abstracted from Br J Anaesth, 117(4):489–496, 2016) Chronic postsurgical pain (CPSP), persisting pain 3 months after surgery, rated 30 or more on a 100-point visual analog scale (VAS) is well known in adults, with the incidence rates ranging from 10% to 60%, depending on the type of surgery. Chronic postsurgical pain is frequent in children too, especially in those with chronic diseases.
