Abstract

Introduction: Epidemiological risk stratification in health is a tool effective in identifying where the main problems lie in a program health, to distribute resources where they are most needed. kidney disease chronic is a metabolic endocrine syndrome, brings disability to people whosuffer, has become one of the main causes of death in the world, in our country has seen an increase in the last ten years. Objective: Stratify mortality with CKD in Cuba and characterize some sociovariables demographics from 2011-2020.Method: The universe consisted of 35031 deceased with CKD in Cuba, percentages, crude, specific and specific rates were calculated. standardized by age, sex, causes of death, by province of residence and color of the skin. The stratification by provinces was classified as very high risk, high risk, medium and low risk. Results: There was a total of 35031 deaths, the risk of die older in men, older adults with black skin color. The main cause of death hypertensive kidney disease. The standardized rates showed slow and sustained increase in all provinces. Very high risk provincesArtemisa (22.15), Cienfuegos (19.36) and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality (18.72).Conclusions: Risk stratification presented differences in the country, the main cause of death was hypertensive kidney disease, older adults have higher risk of dying, although it is important to pay attention to the group that includes working age.
