Abstract

Chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction in children (CIPO) is a rare, complex and disabling disorder with poorly defined incidence and prevalence in pediatric populations. In 2012, the National Paediatric Pseudo-obstruction Diagnostic Service (PPOD) was set up in The Great Ormond Street Hospital in United Kingdom (UK) to provide a service for the diagnosis and management of CIPO disorders in children.
