Abstract
In August and September 2022, the World Council of Churches gathers for its 11th Assembly under the theme “Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity.” This article offers a meditation on the meaning of the theme against the background of biblical witness, using the books in the New Testament by Luke – the gospel according to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles – as a structure for reflection. A special focus is on how the Spirit moves the Jesus movement in these New Testament books. Other books in the New Testament will be included to further deepen the reflections.
