Abstract

Ocular melanocytoma is a deeply pigmented benign tumor that is usually located in the optic nerve. Melanocytoma of the uveal tract is rare and usually asymptomatic. It can rarely transform into malign melanoma in symptomatic cases usually with tumor enlargement. It is difficult to differentiate melanocytoma from choroidal malign melanoma. This review is based on clinical findings and differential diagnosis of choroidal melanocytoma.
