There are now many bibliographic management packages available and many factors to consider when choosing the product that best meets the needs of the individual user or institution. Popular tools include RefWorks, EndNote, Zotero, and Mendeley.

This review will cover the first four; F1000 Workspace was reviewed in the Journal of the Medical Library Association (JMLA) in 2017 [2]
The remainder of this review focuses on how these products differ with respect to the most commonly used features of citation managers and the advantages and disadvantages of each product
