Abstract
SummaryA naturally infected case of chloroquine-pyrimethamine resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria acquired in Khao Mai Khaeo, Cholburi Province, Thailand, is described. This strain of P. falciparum was inoculated into a healthy volunteer. The artificially induced infection also proved to be resistant to chloroquine and pyrimethamine. Radical cure was effected by quinine therapy.
