Abstract

From auxiliary to catalyst: Chiral sulfinamides have emerged as versatile organocatalysts showing both Lewis base and Lewis acid activation modes. The reactions highlighted here involve several highly enantioselective transformations, such as reduction of imines, CC-bond forming reactions, enantioselective protonation, [4+2] cycloadditions etc.
