Abstract

Chiodi's interpretation of Kant - strongly influenced by Heidegger's «Kant und das Problem der Metaphysik» and by Abbagnano's «esistenzialismo positivo» - is examined in detail, and considered within the context of the philosophy of the time. The issue of foundation is identified as being of primary importance in Chiodi's reading of Kant. It is also pointed out that Chiodi's interpretation is mainly determined by Chioci's own theoretical interests.
