Abstract

3D modeling has evolved significantly since its inception in the 1960s, transforming industries such as architecture, entertainment, and manufacturing. The widespread adoption of texture mapping and shading resulted in a great improvement in visual rendering. Driven by advancements in technology, 3D modeling has progressed to incorporate tools like OpenSCAD, a versatile software for creating solid 3D models. In this work, this paper realizes the construction of Chinese cake through openscad, and discusses the production details in detail. Starting with a basic rectangular wooden cabinet, fundamental concepts are demonstrated. Progressing to a complex Chinese pastry tray model, this work manipulated geometry and parameters using advanced operations. Further models included a star-shaped pastry and a challenging mooncake design, showcasing proficiency, and innovation. This work inspired further research in 3D modeling techniques, reflecting the ongoing advancements in the field.
