Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the artistic styles of Chinese children's chorus - Northern children's chorus. Firstly, the acoustic characteristics, repertoire selection and arrangement, as well as performance styles and techniques of northern children's chorus are discussed. Then it analyses the song forms, stage images and costumes, as well as stage sets and lighting effects of northern children's chorus. It then discusses the teaching methods and teaching materials, vocal training and skill development, and artistic quality and team consciousness of Northern children's chorus. Then the development history of children's choir in the north is reviewed, successful cases are analysed and evaluated, and future trends and challenges are discussed. Finally, a conclusion is made, including a summary of the study and a prospect of the existing problems.
