AbstractSilanimines such as (IV) (generated by thermolysis of siladihydrotriazoles such as (III) which, in turn, are formed from the dibromide (I)) react with azides such as (II) by (2 + 3) cycloaddition to form mainly silatetrazoles such as (VIa): the analogues (VIb)‐(VIf) are similarly obtained.
