AbstractA three‐component sequential process consists of (i) in situ formation of carbodiimides by Staudinger reaction, (ii) reaction with aryl propenoic acids (III) and (iii) final cyclization of the resulting N‐acylurea intermediates, e.g. (VI), to afford title compounds (IV).
