Abstract
Abstract[VO(N3)3] is prepared by a fluoride‐azide exchange reaction between [VOF3] and Me3SiN3 in MeCN solution (evacuated Teflon FEP ampoule, ‐196 °C → ‐20 °C, 2 h, 94% yield) and subsequent removal of volatiles in vacuum at ‐20 °C and 25 °C [caution: polyazides are extremely shock‐sensitive and can explode violently].
