Abstract
AbstractReaction of 2‐diaminomethylidene‐3‐oxoalkanoates (I) with aryl isocyanates affords the corresponding urea derivatives (III), which cyclize into the title cytosine derivatives (IV) on treatment with sodium alkoxides.
