Abstract
AbstractBased on the respective reduction potentials, the p‐halogenoanisols (I) are dehalogenated if halogen X: Br or I; in the presence of PhCN as redox catalyst, ((I): PhCN = 1:1), the reaction is faster and the yield of (IIb) is dramatically increased.
