AbstractThe external double bond of allenyl aryl ethes (III) undergoes Diels‐Alder reaction with electron‐rich 1,3‐dienes [‐< (VII)/(VIII)], while the internal double bond of (III) undergoes Diels‐Alder reaction with electron‐deficient 1,3‐dienes as a dienophile [‐< (V)].
