Abstract
Abstract The synthesis and crystal structure of a Tm 3 Ga ≈2 Ge ≈3 single crystal are reported. This compound is isopointal to the anti-Cr 5 B 3 -type structure, but belongs to the In 5 Bi 3 branch (S.G. I4/mcm ; a =7.728(1) A, c =10.806(2) A, c / a =1.398). The isotypic Lu ≈3 Ga ≈2 Ge ≈3 compound ( a =7.694(3) A, c =10.748(4) A, c / a =1.397) has been characterized in the Lu–Ga–Ge system.
