AbstractA combination of chemoselective Pd‐catalyzed carbonylative esterification of o‐iodobromobenzene derivative (I) with Pd‐catalyzed functionalization (amination, cross coupling or carbonylative esterification) and ring closing metathesis reaction is successfully applied in the synthesis of resorcylic acid lactone frameworks.
