Abstract
Abstract Different sulfur-containing β-amino alcohols have been synthesized and tested in the catalytic enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to benzaldehyde as chiral auxiliaries. The resulting 1-phenyl-1-propanol was obtained in good chemical yield and high optical purity up to 94 % op under mild reaction conditions.
