AbstractThe reaction of imines (I) with acyl chlorides (II) and 2‐phenyl‐1,3,2‐benzodioxaphosphole followed by reaction of intermediate phospha‐muenchnones with imines (III) leads to a variety of tetrasubstituted imidazoles (IV).
