AbstractDehydrogenation of the bicyclic enols (I) with DDQ gives the quinone methides (II) which undergo Diels‐Alder reaction with the dimethylbenzopyran (III) or isopropenyl acetate (VI) to yield the cycloadducts (IV) or (VII) and (VIII).
