AbstractThe cationic Ni(I) macrocycle (I), R,S,R,S‐(Ni(tmc))+, prepared by reduction of its Ni(II) analogue by the photolytically generated radical Me2CO·‐, reacts in aqueous, alkaline solutions with various alkyl halides on the stopped‐flow time scale to form a new series of organo‐Ni complexes (II).
