AbstractThe diastereo‐ and enantioselective synthesis of seven‐membered rings proceeds well by using the Joergensen—Hayashi catalyst leading to a mixture of trans 2,3‐disubstituted cyclic derivatives and their corresponding hemiacetals with good yields.
