AbstractThe present new method for the direct catalytic asymmetric γ‐addition of allyl cyanide (II) to ketones (I) is promoted by a catalyst system consisting of a soft Lewis acid, a hard Broensted base, and an additional hard Lewis base phosphine oxide.
