AbstractThe novel metal‐free Prins cyclization of 4‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)cyclohex‐3‐en‐1‐ols with aryl, hetaryl, alkenyl, or alkyl aldehydes proceeds with high diastereoselectivity and provides the products in high yields.
