AbstractThe key step in the synthesis of the dehydroprostaglandin H2 disulfide analogue (VIII) is the alkynylation of the mesylate, derived from the bicyclic alcohol (III), using an alkynyl alanate which is prepared from (IV) and dimethylaluminum chloride.
