AbstractThe N‐protected aminopyrazolidinone (I) reacts with methyl bromoacetate (II) to give the N‐substituted product (III) which is reduced and sulfonated to form the mesylate (V) and via sulfonate ‐ iodide exchange the iodide (VI).
