Abstract

Chemiluminescence in thermo-oxidation of polypropylene was interpreted, noting its course with time at different temperatures and the corresponding spectra. The light emission was attributed to decomposition of α-ketone-hydroperoxides and to chain oxidation of polymer proceeding via secondary peroxy radicals.
