Abstract

Abstract Chemical protective clothing (CPC) programs are becoming more important for a variety of reasons. However, written CPC programs probably are not yet receiving the attention that written respirator programs have received. All components of written respirator programs also should be included in CPC programs. Special considerations which are discussed in this paper include the need for mandatory programs, quality control, storage, reuse, and field evaluation, biological monitoring, improper use of CPC, use of double layers, decontamination, and training. Specific research is cited for each consideration.
