Abstract
Polymeric organocalcium reagents have been prepared from highly reactive calcium and cross-linked polystyrene resins containing halogens (Br, Cl, F, CH 2 Cl) and subsequent addition of electrophiles to yield functionalized polymers. Transmetalation with CuCN.2LiBr yields calcium cuprate reagents which react with a variety of electrophiles to prepare highly derivatized polymers
