Abstract

Sclerotia of five isolates of Macrophomina phaseolina pathogenic to groundnut were tested for exudation of nutrients. The sclerotial exudates of all the isolates analyzed for different nutritional components—amino acids, organic acids and sugars—indicated their presence and also wide variation in chemical composition.
