Abstract

AbstractProbability theory was used to model the microstructure of copolymer chains. Specifically, we derived analytical expressions to describe the chemical composition distribution of multicomponent random copolymers and the longest monomer sequence length distribution of binary copolymers. The results agree with Stockmayer's distribution for binary copolymers and with Monte Carlo simulations for multicomponent copolymers.
