Abstract

BEGINNING with the Jan. 10, 1946, number of Chemical Abstractst , authors' addresses (laboratories where work reported was done) will appear in abstracts after the author names. These addresses are considered helpful in several ways as in ready communication with authors. Many have asked for them. New Section A new section in Chemical Abstracts entitled Economic Poisons has just been created. The assistant editor in charge is Charles H. Richardson, who has long served Chemical Abstracts effectively as an abstractor and as an assistant editor for the Zoology subsection under Biological Chemistry. The new section will follow Section 15 (formerly Soils, Fertilizers, and Agricultural Poisons and now Soils and Fertilizers) as 15A. In the new section will be placed all abstracts relating principally to insecticides, to poisons for the various invertebrate animals other than insects, as spiders, ticks, ..., millepedes, crustaceans, mollusks, and nematodes, to poisons for rodents and other mammalian pests, ...
