Abstract
Associative ionization has been observed in the ractions of Ba, Sr, Ca (M) with OH, M + OH = MOH + + e −, and relative rates have been measured under effusive thermal cross molecular beam conditions. The rates are in the ratio 3 × 10 3, 3 × 10 1 to 1 for Ba, Sr, relative to Ca.
