Abstract

The article provides a scientific rationale for the process of forming students' physical health competence, reveals the specifics of the work and the principles of managing the physical education of university students and their implementation in the conditions of education and life activities of future teachers. Health, developmental, and educational opportunities of cheerleading to increase the effectiveness of the organization of physical education of students in higher education institutions, taking into account gender, were considered. The organization of cheerleading classes at universities was studied, which included both theoretical and practical components and included elements of choreography, acrobatics, gymnastics and dance. The novelty of using cheerleading as a means of physical education, which allows forming not only the basics of acrobatic, gymnastic, dance training and team movements, is emphasized. The neuro-emotional and mental tension of students' mental activity, which is often accompanied by non-compliance with the study and rest regime, irrational nutrition and other factors, is deepened by an insufficient level of motor activity. All this has a negative impact on the state of health of students, their physical development and level of physical fitness. A large number of studies on the problems of organizing physical education in higher educational institutions that prepare future teachers indicate the need to find new technologies that will contribute to the formation of prestige in students to have a high level of health, which depends on the education of personal motivation, certain knowledge and behavior of a specific individual, and is also the result of the joint work of a teacher and a student.
