Abstract

"Starting from autumn 2022, the world of artificial intelligence has changed. ChatGPT appeared in the virtual space. This GPT-based chatbot is used to generate answers to questions asked by the user. It has been developed on the basis of big data so that it can have a conversation and engage on a variety of topics, from general to those relating to different areas of knowledge. ChatGPT has a wide spectrum of applications in various areas of life, including education. Teachers are aware that this instrument will permanently revolutionize teaching and learning, including the acquisition of foreign languages. This will also take place in the didactics of specialized languages, because this tool as currently the most powerful artificial intelligence is capable of discussing specialized topics. This means that it has some expertise that, even if it is not yet perfect, is constantly being deepened. The aim of the article is to analyze and discuss the results of a survey on the assessment of the possibilities of using artificial intelligence by students of economic faculties in the process of learning a foreign language."
