Abstract

Abstract Chase 50Re-50Mo is a rhenium-molybdenum high temperature alloy recommended for temperatures up to 4200 F where high strength at elevated temperature combined with high ductility are required. The alloy retains remarkable ductility even in the recrystallized condition, is weldable, and can be formed into shapes with far less chance of failure than pure molybdenum. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as creep. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Mo-7. Producer or source: Chase Brass & Copper Company Inc..
