Abstract

This award recognizes a significant career of contributions of a psychologist who has a proven track record as an exceptional teacher of psychology. The awardee receives a plaque, a $4,000 award and an all-expense paid round trip to the APA Annual Convention, where the award is presented. Awardees are also invited to give a special address. Respect for diversity, human rights, ethics, critical thinking, and depth of learning are primary to Linda M. Woolf's philosophy of teaching. For 30 years, Linda has encouraged fellow teachers to integrate issues of social justice and global concerns into their courses-teaching to make a difference. Nationally, Linda is a tireless advocate for justice and human rights, and locally, she is a sought-after educator who comes to work each day excited about the classroom. Linda's vision, leadership, and advocacy have expanded psychology to make our discipline more globally relevant to students, researchers, teachers, and mental health professionals throughout the world.
