Abstract
We present an investigation of optical and electronic properties of a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) confined at a GaAs/AlGaAs interface, grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) or molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) techniques, by optical detection of cyclotron resonance (ODCR). Strong ODCR spectra structured by quantum oscillations have been observed, from which fruitful information concerning the electronic properties of the 2DEG can be obtained. This study shows the potential of ODCR as a useful and convenient (direct and contactless) probe of heterostructures.
