Abstract

A new technique is presented for the preparation of DSA type electrodes. In this technique, the precursor is rapidly decomposed on the substrate by treatment in an induction electromagnetic field. The effects of the rapid heating of H 2IrCl 6·6H 2O precursor on Ti substrate on the morphology and the composition of the coating are presented. Formation of metallic Ir is observed using this technique.
