Abstract

Ion beams of 9 A at approximately 30 keV have been obtained with hydrogen, and up to 13 A with helium, using a ring anode plasma source with multi-aperture extraction electrodes. The pulse length was 25 ms. The ion source has been used for plasma heating experiments in the CLEO Tokamak.
