Abstract
The virulence of wheat stem rust pathogen population in the North Caucasus Region of Russia for the period 2008–2011 has been described. Monopustular urendial isolates (350) were differentiated from the international set of 39 monogenic lines. Using Rogers index, the difference level in gene virulence was revealed in different years. The comparison of the genetic structure of the fungus population at present and the mid-1990s was concluded.
