Abstract
1. 1. A peroxidase was partially purified from the soluble fraction of crayfish hepatopancreas. 2. 2. The enzyme has a molecular weight of 80,000, catalyzes the oxidation of many (but not all) substrates of horseradish peroxidase and displays a mechanism of action similar to that of horseradish peroxidase and cytochrome c peroxidase.
