Abstract
In this work, the single-phase heat transfer and flow characteristics in a type of plate heat exchanger considering water as working medium are numerically simulated and analyzed, which agree well with experimental results. To further optimize the plate structure, eight cases for three exchanger factors including corrugation inclination, corrugation normal pitch and corrugation depth are selected using uniform experimental design method for investigation. Based on the results, the regression equation of comprehensive heat transfer performance factor Ψ is proposed. The Ψ reaches the maximum in the condition of β = 110°, P=5.8mm, b=3.2mm and increases by 31.27% compared with Ψ0 in the initial condition.
