Abstract

Characterisation results are presented from a current-fed power converter employing digital current mode control. Current and voltage loop responses have been obtained, via a direct digital loop gain and phase measurement technique, for a range of line voltages and load currents. Deviations of the output voltage following step changes in line voltage and load current have also been measured. These responses demonstrate some of the advantages of using digital current mode control with line voltage feedforward compared to conventional analogue control techniques.
